TRUEMAN Mvazana (30) was sentenced to 32 years’ imprisonment in the Port Shepstone Regional Court last week for the murder of an employee of Thandabantu Tuckshop in Mkholombe.
Three gunmen stormed, robbed and opened fire at the tuckshop on January 25.
They fled with cash, various airtime vouchers and cigarettes.
Mvazana was arrested after police acted on information received. Exhibits found positively linked him to the crime.
He was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment for robbery with aggravating circumstances and a further 20 years for murder.
Detective Warrant Officer Lami Mjweni of Port Shepstone Detective Services was the investigating officer.
Investigations continue to find the other two suspects.
