Teen arrested with heroin

WHILE doing street patrols on Monday afternoon,  Reserve Constable Mbuso Gumbi of the Scottburgh SAPS arrested an 18-year-old for being in possession of drugs.

“He found the teenager allegedly preparing to take the drug near the taxi rank in Braam Fischer Road, Scottburgh just after 2pm,” said Scottburgh SAPS communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.

The teenager will appear appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on today,  January 19.

“The suspect was charged and detained pending his court appearance. The straw of heroin was seized as an exhibit,” said Captain Pandarum.
