Food stolen from creche

This is a serious blow for the children, who will now have to go hungry.

AN Izingolweni crèche was broken into last Saturday.

Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, said police received a call from a security company about the incident.

“It is believed that the robbers gained entry by forcing a burglar guard open. The intruders took mostly food which was used to feed many children at the creche.

“Stolen foodstuffs included chicken braai packs, mixed vegetables, ice-cream and chips,” said Captain Mfeka.

No arrests have been made.
