Drug dealers feel the ‘sting’

Police seized 120 parcels of dagga ready for sale.

THE Scottburgh CBD taxi rank was ‘ambushed’ by Scottburgh SAPS last Saturday.

Having sourced information on drug dealing, members of the Scottburgh Crime Intelligence and Scottburgh Sector Team set up a sting operation.

“At 5pm, police set their plan in motion and an undercover agent purchased two straws of heroin also known as whoonga. Sihle Sydney Msabal (31) was arrested and charged,” said Scottburgh SAPS communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.

The SAPS then went to Kwacele Ward in the Amandawe area where an undercover agent managed to purchase drugs once again and a second suspect, Shiwe Jeza (61), was arrested.

Police seized 120 parcels of dagga ready for sale. Both Msabal and Jeza appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
