Margate woman robbed at home
She was not strong enough to prevent him from forcing open the door.
A MARGATE woman who arrived home at around noon on Monday this week had a nasty surprise.
The woman (38) who lives in Valley Road, entered her home and went into the bedroom. “She looked out of the window and noticed a man walking in the yard,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“She went out and asked the man what he was doing on her property. He ran towards her. She ran back into the house and tried to close the door but was over powered by the intruder who forced the door open.”
Once inside he stole a cellphone and the woman’s wallet before fleeing.
