A CONSTRUCTION worker was seriously injured when he fell about 3.6 metres onto a concrete floor in Port Edward earlier today.

The man, aged about 25, was part of a team performing maintenance on the roof of a building.

Rob Mckenzie, spokesman for KwaZulu Emergency Medical Services, said paramedics assessed the man and stabilised him on scene before transporting him to a local hospital.
