A BUSINESSMAN was robbed at his house in Shobashbane, Izingolweni last Thursday night.
The 29-year-old Pakistani national was held at gunpoint by two men.
According to police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka the man had just arrived at home from the tuck shop when he was accosted by the men.
“They threatened him and demanded cash. The men took two cell phones before forcing the man to return to the tuck shop with them. While en route, he managed to break free and ran to a nearby shop for help.”
The robbers fled, leaving their getaway vehicle behind.
The vehicle was taken to the SAPS Vehicle Identification Section to determine whether it had been stolen or used in other robberies. Izingolweni police are investigating and no arrests have yet been made.
