PSSP’s interhouse swimming gala last week saw Barracuda house crowned as champions for the fourth consecutive time. Junior victor and victrix ludorum went to Andrew Starling and Trinity Gouveia. Senior victor Keytin Vorster broke a total of six records and victrix Abigail Saunders broke the U13 breaststroke record. Keytin set new U13 records in the 100m individual medley, 100m crawl, 25m butterfly, 25m breaststroke, 25m backstroke and 25m freestyle. Trinity broke the U10 crawl and breaststroke records. Cash prizes awarded were generously sponsored by parents Dr Irshaad Khan and Mzwandile Mkhwanazi.
Congratulations to Dylan de Villiers and Cameron Jagawanth for being selected for the SKZN U11 cricket team that will take part in the cricket festival in Durban from March 4 to 6. Counselling psychologist Dominique Mamet addressed pupils about exams and study skills at assembly last Friday, giving them valuable tips on study methods and dealing with exam-related stress. Exams commence today (3rd).
