SOUTHCITY Christian College took part in last week’s Scottburgh festival and the first rugby team played an excellent game to win 10-0 against Ashton Ballito. The first netball team lost 3-9 against Port Shepstone High and 8-9 against Voortrekker High. The team thrashed Werda High 12-3 and many comments were made about how well the girls played. The first hockey team beat New Forest 2-0 and drew 0-0 against both Kuswag and Werda, but dominated both games throughout.
Preparatory pupils were entertained by travelling theatre company ‘Productions 2000’, which presented the play ‘Web of Deceit’. Senior preparatory pupils enjoyed a day of ‘Wipeout’ which involves each class taking part in a variety of fun challenges and obstacles set out on the field. Gr 1 girls played their first hockey matches last week and the A team won two games and lost one. The B team won one game and lost two.
