PORT Shepstone Junior Primary held its interhouse gala last Saturday, providing lots of fun for both parents and swimmers. The marked improvement in the standard of swimming was most evident and swimmers displayed excellent team spirit. The school thanks all parents for their enthusiasm, support and interest. All swimmers received medals and SGB chairperson Mona Harrichand presented ‘best swimmer’ trophies to Waheed Khan and Jordan Green (gr 1), Muhammed Khan and Tehl-Cadi Day-Garden (gr 2) and Shayden Gouveia and Aruhi Mohansha (gr 3). Kudos to the staff complement for the hard work put into making the gala so successful.
Secretary Shareen Peterson, who has been with the school for 24 years, celebrated her 60th birthday last Friday at assembly. Everyone sang ‘Happy birthday’ to her. Shareen was then crowned and treated like a queen for the day.
