HIBBERDENE Academy held a very successful parents’ meeting last Saturday and sincerely thanks all those parents who attended. Principal Brian Algie, staff, senior matric pupils and gr 11 monitors welcomed parents to the school where Mr Algie described his vision for the way forward. He presented parents with shared responsibilities that need to be handled by the parent body, staff and management. A new parent body was formed and the first meeting was held in the principal’s office after the meeting. Those parents who are interested in becoming involved, but could not attend, are requested to make an immediate appointment and be part of the decision-making process of the future of Hibberdene Academy.
The newly-formed committee comprises Nompumelelo Sibisi, Maureen Duma, Blessing Dladla, Mandla Zulu, Marise Ogle and Dione Strydom. The academy thanks them all for stepping up and looks forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.
