PORT Edward Primary had a fantastic start to the hockey and cricket season with some pupils being chosen for the final 20 selection for the Ugu hockey team. Chosen U13 girls are Liyema Maboza and Bulela Ncanywa, U13 boys – Tanaoa Plasket-Burne and James de Villiers, U12 girls – Qhawe Zibi, Olwethu Siramza, Sinobabalo Ncanywa, Errin Jardim and Hannah Wichmann and the U12 boy – Blake Barr. Rayne Mendez has been selected for the next round of SKZN cricket trials and is in the top 30 in the Ugu district. Well done to all these achievers and good luck for the next round.
The U13 rugby team played against Creston College and won 10-0. The U13 hockey girls lost 2-0 against Creston College and the U11 rugby boys played Creston College and won 30-5.
