SPORTS day dawned bright and clear for the Jai Hind Primary annual interhouse athletics event last week. Friday the 13th proved lucky for Azalea house, which won with an impressive 136 points. Jasmine followed closely in second position with 127 points and Protea and Zinnia came third and fourth with 96 and 76 points respectively.
Winners were awarded medals and each pupil received a scrumptious doughnut, a cold drink and a bag of crisps. Cebolikajehova Cele from Protea house and Asanda Msani from Jasmine were named victor and victrix ludorum and were awarded floating trophies for bringing in the most number of points during the athletics event. A large contingent of parents and spectators supported the event.
Soccer, volleyball and netball players took part in the annual Winter Sports Day at Port Shepstone Senior Primary last Saturday and gained valuable experience.
