Academy grooms budding actors

An enormous bonfire was organised and they managed to warm up and stay dry.

HIBBERDENE Academy’s grades 7 to 12 pupils were involved in a fun, adventure evening at school last Friday night. After weeks of wonderfully dry days and nights, rain started in earnest last Friday and pupils were unable to go to the beach at midnight. They tried but were forced back by the severe downpour, and when they arrived back at school, the lights went out!

Fortunately an enormous bonfire was organised and they managed to warm up and stay dry. Many thanks to Adri Theron, Meyer Swanepoel, Blessing Mandindi, Samuel Nkrumah and Theo Tyson for their presence and help.

Gr 7 pupils have been involved in film studies and the school anticipates some budding actors and actresses or a few film directors to emerge from Hibberdene in the future.
