MANDIE and Charles Stander should take a bow for the great development work they continually do at the Burry Stander Park in Umtentweni.
The fourth round of the Burry Stander South Coast School Mountain Bike Series, which was launched for the first time on February 19, took place once again last Friday.
Mandie said that this event was introduced to teach schoolchildren to advance their cycling skills.
“The park is the perfect place to learn as there are many different areas to hone your skills,” she explained.Parents agreed that the launch of the Burry Stander South Coast School Mountain Bike Series was amazing to watch and competitive all the way to the finish line.
“The park is growing from strength to strength and I think soon we are really going to see some very competitive mountain bikers coming out of this district,” said one parent.
“Our series is a simple formula where everyone is allowed to practise and participate in this initiative that consists of eight rounds from February to September.”
