JAI HIND Primary’s gr 1 pupils visited Fiddlewood Farm in Margate recently. After an exciting bus ride, Heather Bense and her team at Fiddlewood Farm welcomed everyone. Pupils walked in a forest walk, climbed huge vines and held hands to cross a makeshift bridge over a stream. At the dam, they gathered macadamia nuts, saw beautiful water lilies and a variety of birds. They fed ‘Daisy’ the cow, pigs, goats and horses and learned about farm animals and products. The highlight was the horse rides and the picnic lunch under a huge tree.
Senior primary pupils have received June examination timetables and parents are encouraged to diarise the dates and ensure that pupils prepare adequately.
Teacher Ivan Govender will be running his first Comrades Marathon this weekend and is wished well by the principal, staff, governing body and pupils. The school also wishes teacher Nikita Praimlall well whilst on maternity leave.
