PORT Shepstone Junior Primary acknowledged the school’s 115th year of providing quality education to the local community with cake and song at the inter-house athletics event last Wednesday. Under the direction of trainers Vanessa Ogle, Gail Simes and Jessica Henning, ‘The Rhythmic Dancers’ gave a lovely performance. A goodie bag was handed to each pupil to round off the happy day and generous sponsors were acknowledged personally. Head of sport Emma van Vuuren, sports coordinator Roxanne Smith and staff all contributed to a well-organised day.
Grades 1, 2 and 3 hockey teams took part in the Suid-Natal Primary tournament held last Saturday. Grades 1, 2 and 3 soccer boys and hockey girls shone recently at the Port Edward Primary tournament.
Diskonto will be displaying an enormous collection of the latest fiction and non-fiction books in the school hall on Tuesday, June 14 from 10am to 4pm and Wednesday, June 15 from 7.30 to 10.30am.
