International honour for South Coast ref
There's a home game for the Warriors this Saturday.
QUINTIN Janse van Rensburg, a teacher at Hibiscus and Suid-Natal primary schools, and a KwaZulu-Natal rugby referee, has accepted an invitation to to ref at the World Youth Championships.
It takes place in Klagenfurt, Austria. Four refs from Austria and four from England were also invited to do duty.
Quintin is one of only two South African referees making the trip, so it’s a big honour.
Some 16 different countries will be taking part, across various sporting codes, including rugby.
It is expected that there will be around 4000 competitors. Quintin is part of the local Southern KwaZulu-Natal Rugby Referees’ Association.
