HIBBERDENE Academy held a gr RR to 11 talent show run by Adri Theron and gr 11 pupils to raise funds for their matric dance next year. Pupils paid an entrance fee and ran a well-stocked tuck shop to supplement funds raised. Eye-catching posters around the school encouraged pupils to practise hard to perfect their routines. The day was jam-packed with fun, wonderful outfits and expressive dancing, singing and acting.
Sifiso Mzimela was the deejay and charming host Damon Teles very ably looked after parents and staff members. Faeeza Cassimjee and Jarred Teles brought their computers and sound systems to use at the show and controlled the digital music and sound most professionally. The rest of the gr 11 pupils worked hard as a team, performing many behind-the-scenes duties to ensure that the day was such a huge success. All gr 11 pupils are commended for doing a sterling job.
