Izotsha pupils beat the drum

As adjudicator, Barbie Meyer will be judging class choral verses and individual items.

IZOTSHA Primary enjoyed a fun-filled learning presentation by ‘Talking Drums’, a drumming group from Botha’s Hill. Every pupil got to feel like part of a drumming band or group when given the opportunity to play a drum and various other percussion instruments. They were taught to feel the beat and timing of the music and to follow the conductor’s instructions. The course was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Intermediate and senior phase pupils have been hard at practice for both field and track event heats for the upcoming inter-house athletics meetings next week.

Gr 5 pupils enjoyed an exciting ‘Egyptian Day’ last Friday. Pupils came to school dressed up and got involved in many Egyptian-themed activities throughout the day.

The school will host a speech and drama festival this week with Barbie Meyer as adjudicator.
