CRESTON pupils earned gold, silver and bronze medals in last week’s Hibiscus Eisteddfod. A very special thank you to Tshepo Oliphant, Karen Marx and Kwena Ramahuta. The Creston eisteddfod gala evening will be held in the school hall this Friday, September 2, at 6pm. Boerewors rolls and soft drinks will be on sale. Ticket prices are R50 for adults and R30 for pupils and pensioners.
The debating team comprising Fezeka Nzama, Siyathokoza Zulu and Siphe Ndlangisa won the league debating semi-finals recently and will compete in the finals at Southcity. Fezeka and Siyathokoza shared the ‘best speaker’ award.
Nic de Bruin recently came first in the KZN XCO championships. He placed third in the SA XCO champs, which was a brilliant achievement for the first KZN rider. He punctured his tyres in two of the ROAG races and wasn’t able to finish, he came second at the Eston Classic and placed first in his age category at the Scottburgh Classic.
