Academy pupils reach out

Gr 10 pupils will facilitate any extra items or care that members of the community are willing to assist with.

HIBBERDENE Academy’s gr 10 life orientation pupils were thrilled to receive a very large load of hotelware from the Oyster Box Hotel, for distribution to the less fortunate. The clothes were in good condition and will certainly assist those in need. This exercise was a partnership between academy pupils and Ziphakamise, an organisation that is able to reach out to people who are in dire need. They also run a number of orphanages and help the elderly and the infirm.

The gr 10 class is busy collecting items for donation for the Emseni Child and Youth Care Centre. Each child will receive a parcel of goodies which has been made up for them personally. This charity centre does wonderful work for the community along the coast and gr 10 pupils will facilitate any extra items or care that members of the community are willing to assist with. Contact the school at 039 6993611 for further information.
