Westley heads to Mauritius
Watch this space! This matric pupil is a passionate rugby player who is going places.
WESTLEY Nyman (18) of Port Shepstone High, who has been selected to play for the Southern KZN Tunas Sevens Team, will be competing in Mauritius in October.
Westley and his family have been working hard to raise funds for his upcoming trip and a raffle draw took place last Sunday at Douglas Mitchell. The lucky winner was Casper de Koker.
The matric pupil is a passionate rugby player and has two brothers, Jade and Daryn, who also play rugby. The latter attends the Sharks Academy.
Westley was selected to play for the first team in grade 11 and is vice-captain of the team this year. He was selected for the U18 team this year, which they competed at Reitz in the Free State.
He has been accepted to the Sharks Academy for 2017.
He attended Izotsha Primary from grade R and made the SC trials for rugby at U12 and U13 level. In both years, he was selected to represent Southern Natal at the KwaZulu-Natal Trials in Vryheid. He then played for the U14A, U15A and U16A rugby teams at Port Shepstone High.
