SOUTHCITY’S Junior Primary held its interhouse athletics last Friday. Asher house took top honours and Judah house scooped the spirit trophy. Kate-Lynn Fourie (U7 girls), Trent Broome (U7 boys), Mihle Nama (U8 boys and victor ludorum), Leah Scott (U8 girls and victrix ludorum), Seth Simpson (U9 boys) and Chloe van der Wal (U9 girls) were individual age group prize-winners.
Hockey teams comprising gr 1, 2 and 3 boys and the girls’ netball teams arrived for the Southcity Festival last Saturday. The morning started out very overcast, but the athletes’ excitement was not dampened. Unfortunately the morning ended early because of rain but most teams got to play at least 1 match.
