RA ENGAR invited head of the Esayidi FET College Johnny Rajoo to address gr 7 pupils about their transition to high school. He also advised on career paths and to consider the FET brand as an alternative to university. Mr Rajoo also presented winners of the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality’s Schools’ Recycling Competition with trophies and medals.
The school held a successful reading festival last Wednesday for foundation phase pupils. Two pupils per grade were selected to read a passage or recite a poem, which they did with confidence, clarity, fluency and expression. Pupils were encouraged to read and develop a love for reading. All entrants received a certificate, sweet hamper and a book generously sponsored by Meg Dickson from the Sithanda ukufunda organisation and the school thanks her for her generosity.
