TWO Marburg Primary pupils, Jenise Bridgette Naidoo and Macy Dickens were chosen to join members of the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality in a children’s programme in Newcastle recently.
The programme was organised by the premier’s office.
Pinky Ncungama (special programmes practitioner) and Dudu Khowa (special programmes manager) from the Ugu District Municipality accompanied the pupils to Newcastle.
The children’s programme provided an insight on how government had provided shelters for the homeless, uniforms for many schoolchildren and how many cases of abuse had been resolved.
Pupils were reminded that education is always important.
The programme inspired and motivated pupils to develop and build their own character and personality.
Marburg Primary expressed its appreciation to the municipality and the premier’s office for choosing it to be part of the programme.
