HIBBERDENE Academy had a most exciting day last Tuesday. The gr 10 life orientation class created a wonderful programme for pupils to learn about the legend of St Valentine.

They expressed themselves through song, dance and poetry readings in a special assembly.Each class presented something.
Grades RR to 6 sang songs and grades 7 to 12 read poetry in Afrikaans, English and isiZulu.
Headmaster Brian Algie’s talk and Hayford Tetteh’s sermon and blessing were both inspired by the ‘theme of love’ and pupils were allowed to dress in red and white to celebrate the day. Gr 10 pupils cooked hamburgers and sold various delicious treats to raise funds.
