WATCH as excited shopper wins a brand new car at Manaba store
The nail-biting finale ended when Palm Beach resident Yibrah Guush-Ghebreyohannes's key unlocked the car.
HUNDREDS of customers gathered at Bargain Xpress Manaba last Saturday to witness the store’s giveaway of a Kia Picanto to one lucky shopper.
Excited customers rushed to make last minute purchases to qualify to enter the competition.
A lucky draw was done and five names were drawn. Each finalist was asked to choose one of five envelopes, each with a key that could be the one to open the car door.
The nail-biting finale ended when Palm Beach resident Yibrah Guush-Ghebreyohannes’s key unlocked the car.
After many hugs and shouts of excitement, he described to the Herald how much the car meant to him.
He said he was completely overwhelmed and overjoyed. “This car will make a huge difference to my life. It’s the best present ever!”
The runners-up were each given a R1 000 Bargain Xpress shopping voucher.
Top South African stand-up comedian Muthu Murugan kept customers entertained with his wicked sense of humour.
Another two Kia Picantos will be given away at the Bargain Xpress Izingolweni on Saturday, March 11 and at Bargain Xpress Port Shepstone on March 18.
