Swimmers break records at PEPS

Marlin house won both the spirit cup and the interhouse trophies.

PORT Edward Primary held its annual interhouse gala last Tuesday when many records were broken.

Scarlet Scorer smashed three records and Chloe Barclay and Brayden Jardim were awarded the junior victrix and victor ludorum awards, while Scarlet Scorer and Matthew Bircher took the senior awards. Marlin house won both the spirit cup and the interhouse trophies.

At the cricket matches against Suid-Natal Primary, the U11 boys won by eight wickets.

Albert Beukman took six wickets for three runs in two overs and scored an impressive hat-trick.

The U13 boys made a great start, but were eventually beaten with two balls remaining as SNP chased down their total.

Congratulations to Duncan Simpson and Joel Kandankary for flying the school flag high by making the U11 Southern Kwa-Zulu Natal cricket team.

They will be taking part in an interprovincial tournament this coming weekend.
