Ugu South Coast Tourism promises much Easter ‘egg-sightment’

Spend an action-packed holiday on the beautiful South Coast.

FROM Scottburgh to Port Edward and even across the border to the Wild Coast, the South Coast is going to be an ‘egg-sighting’ place to spend the Easter holiday season, according to Ugu South Coast Tourism.

“There will be a choice of beach events, festivals, sport happenings and religious celebrations,” said Ugu South Coast Tourism’s marketing and events manager, Kay Robertson.

Starting in Scottburgh, an Easter Beach Bonanza is planned for April 14 to 17 and the joBerg2c mountain biking athletes will reach the finish in this town on April 29. The popular Scottburgh Easter Egg-Stravaganza will entertain the whole family on April 16.

Heading further south Hibberdene Beach, Southport Beach and Sunwich Port Beach are all putting together Easter holiday beach programmes that will bring endless ‘egg-sightment’ to the South Coast. Much of the holiday action will, however, be in the Ray Nkonyeni tourist hub, at St Michael’s, Uvongo, Margate and Ramsgate beaches.

“Don’t be left with egg on your face. It’s the school holidays and they include a lovely long Easter weekend for those who are normally office-bound. With so much to do, mostly free of charge, get out and about and be part of the Easter holiday egg-sightment,” said Kay.
