Padel afternoon to support Ivungu River Conservancy

Players are invited to enjoy friendly competition while supporting conservation.

The Ivungu River Conservancy is inviting padel enthusiasts to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of sport and good company on Saturday, November 14.

The tournament will take place at the South Coast Padel courts in Uvongo, with players encouraged to arrive at 12:00 ahead of games starting at 13:00.

Players can enter with a partner or sign up individually, with organisers helping to find a teammate.

The event will focus on fun and camaraderie rather than formal fundraising, auctions or prize-giving ceremonies. Players could, however, win a bottle of wine for their performance on court.

Boerewors and vegetarian rolls will be on sale.

While the event is intended as a casual get-together, any proceeds will go towards the conservancy’s work to protect local green spaces.

For bookings, contact Sarah Unsworth on 083-331-3866.
