Ugu buys new vehicle fleet in attempt to improve service delivery

Another multi-million rand pipe replacement project was also handed over.

TO ENSURE improved service delivery to all communities, Ugu District Municipality recently increased its vehicle resources by purchasing new vehicles.

About 30 vehicles have been purchased, including minibuses, a TLB, office vehicles and vans.

In a separate project last Friday, Ugu handed over a multi-million rand Harding Town Pipeline Replacement Project to Umuziwabantu local municipality and its community.

According to the municipality’s spokesman, France Zama, the completion of this project will ensure improved water supply in the Harding CBD and surrounding suburbs.

“The community will now have access to clean water and decent sanitation,” said Mr Zama.
