A WOMAN was arrested last Thursday evening for shoplifting from several shops on the South Coast.
A team effort, which included police, law enforcement units and security companies, was involved in the arrest.
It’s believed the woman was part of a group that had targeted several shops and stolen groceries.

Sergeant Rudi Smit, Constable Sibusiso Cele and Sergeant Selby Cele from the Port Shepstone 10111 call centre (response vehicle) were part of this team effort.
They arrested the woman yesterday after a chase which resulted in stopping the vehicle near at shopping complex in Shelly Beach.
“A complaint was received of the suspects who targeted several shops and stole groceries. The mentioned members started looking for the vehicle and it was seen stopping at the complex,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
