MEN armed with knives threatened and robbed a Ramsgate family at their home in Beaumont Road on Tuesday this week.
Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka said that, at around 1pm, three men gained entry onto the property.
“The attackers first confronted the 31-year-old gardener. They tied him up and left him inside an outbuilding on the property. The men then confronted the 81-year-old woman and her 61-year-old daughter in the house,” he said.

Both women were threatened and the men demanded cash and cellphones. They fled taking cash, a laptop, bank cards and hi-fi speakers.
The gardener managed to escape and ran for help to a neighbour, who then alerted the Ramsgate Community Policing Forum (CPF), who responded quickly and went to the house.
It is alleged that the daughter was assaulted during the attack. No arrests have been made and Margate police are investigating a house robbery.
