Abducted toddler’s family awaits post-mortem results

SPHUMELELO Ncama’s family still awaits the post-mortem results from the pathologist.
Recently the traditional healer (inyanga) who was arrested for his disappearance, led police to a sugar cane farm in Louisiana, where what are believed to be the decomposed remains of the missing child were found. A shoe found at the scene was identified by the three-year-old boy’s father.

The scene was close to a pathway used by the public and pupils going to school. The skeletal remains were removed to the Port Shepstone State Mortuary, where tissue samples were taken for DNA analysis to positively establish if, in fact, the remains are those of the toddler.
The traditional healer, Simbongile Madikezela (22), faces charges of kidnapping and murder. He appeared in court last Tuesday and was denied bail.
The docket will be taken to the District Public Prosecutor to determine a date for a High Court hearing. The case was postponed to July 13.
