A DETERMINED man fought off three suspected robbers in Simpson Road, Hibberdene, in the early hours of yesterday (July 18) morning.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said one of the suspects was injured and was taken to GJ Crookes Hospital by ambulance.

“The man was alerted by a family member who discovered that her room had been ransacked. When he went to investigate, he says he saw three suspects fleeing from the house, carrying stolen property.
“He gave chase and cornered the men at the fence. A scuffle ensued and two of the men managed to escape. The injured suspect is under police guard,” she said.
A cell phone, laptop, clothing, ear phones and a purse were reported stolen.
