THE two men suspected of being connected to the abduction of a Galway Street, Scottburgh man are facing charges of attempted murder and housebreaking.
Gift Sefoka (29) and 30-year-old Thabang Willie Pasha took to the stand in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning, July 17,after bail had been denied during their previous appearance.

The abductors had broken into the Galway Street residence, drugged the man’s girlfriend and robbed the house, fleeing in two stolen cars and taking the man as their hostage.
The man was found abandoned alive in Tembisa on Tuesday, February 14, after a failed ransom attempt.

In a joint operation conducted by members of the National Investigation Unit, Head Office Detective Services, Crime Intelligence and the Hawks Tactical Operations Management Section, the two men were traced and apprehended on April 6.
The case has been postponed until July 28 for further investigation.

THE two men facing charges of house robbery, kidnapping, attempted murder and extortion in connection with the recent abduction of a Galway Street, Scottburgh man appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court recently.
The kidnappers, 29-year-old Gift Sefoka and 30-year-old Thabang Willie Pasha, were denied bail.
Both men were remanded into custody pending further investigation.
They are expected to appear in court again on May 9.

TWO men suspected of kidnapping a Scottburgh man in February and abandoning him in Tembisa have been arrested.

In a joint operation conducted by members of the National Investigation Unit, Head Office Detective Services, Crime Intelligence and the Hawks Tactical Operations Management Section, the two men were traced and apprehended.
The men, 29-year-old Gift Sefoka – arrested in Pretoria – and 30-year-old Thabang Willie Pahsa – arrested in Shoshanguve – were detained at Villiera SAPS.
Scottburgh SAPS Cluster Detective Task Team members Warrant Officer Yugen Moodley, Constable Cliffy Pillay and Constable Weidon Govender accompanied the accused to Scottburgh.

SCOTTBURGH residents living in fear of house robbers and violent criminals now have even more reason to be concerned with their own safety.
A Williamson Street household was robbed on Sunday night. Sources informed the Mail that the female resident had been drugged by the intruders, and her boyfriend abducted.

The robbers then allegedly stole two vehicles from the property and fled.
By mid-morning Monday, information revealed that the robbers had been traced to Gauteng where it is also believed the man was still being held captive.

Shortly before publishing, information was received by the Mail indicating that the man had been found in Tembisa towards the north of Kempton Park on the East Rand.
The vehicles have not been recovered.
