Former South Coast couple robbed in Manhattan apartment

Mr Henderson reportedly met the unidentified woman one July evening and took her back to the Manhattan apartment, said the New York Post.

JEAN-Pierre Henderson and his wife, Odette Warder, who both hail from the South Coast, made international headlines recently after a ‘mystery’ woman allegedly stole $50 000 worth of jewellery from the couple’s flat in New York.

Jean-Pierre is the eldest son of Margate estate agent George Henderson and his wife, Jessica.

Ms Warder grew up in Margate and is set to appear alongside Jennifer Lopez in an upcoming episode of the television crime drama series ‘Shades of Blue’.

The couple married in 2005, and live in Manhattan.

The New York Post reported last week that, according to police sources, Mr Henderson realised $50,000 worth of jewellery was missing after a ‘mystery woman’ left his apartment in the middle of the night recently.

The report went on to say that in addition to a $30,000 wedding ring, the couple lost a $17,000 Rolex watch, $2,000 worth of gold bangles and an opal ring worth $1,000.

Mr Henderson reportedly met the unidentified woman one July evening and took her back to the Manhattan apartment, said the New York Post.

According to a report on the Mailonline website, the mystery woman was in the couple’s home for an hour before leaving at around midnight. The article featured a photo of the woman taken from a surveillance camera outside the apartment complex on the evening of the robbery.

Early last year, Ms Warder published an inspirational book entitled ‘Poison Rose’, which she said she hoped would inspire others not to give up on life and always to believe in themselves.
