Former Tweni resident found murdered in Pringle Bay

She and her family previously lived in Umtentweni, and moved to the Cape late last year.

FORMER South Coaster Ferra Thompson (52), a long-time employee at Woolworths in Shelly Beach, was killed at her home in Pringle Bay, Western Cape last Monday.

According to media reports, Mrs Thompson was found dead in the bedroom of her double storey home last Monday morning.

Mrs Thompson and her husband, Roger, previously lived in Umtentweni, and according to a friend, moved to Pringle Bay only late last year.

The couple has two sons, Matt and Benjamin.

Mr Thompson was working out of the country at the time of the murder.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and will appear in the Caledon Magistrate’s Court today (Thursday).

Mrs Thompson’s car was later found burnt out some 30km from her home.

Her South Coast friends have been left reeling.

“She was such a loving and peaceful woman, and a devoted wife and mother. Her friends will miss her and her beautiful smile,” said one. “We at our ladies’ group will treasure our memories of time spent with her.”
