Creston rugby boys fare well in Mauritius

Taking part afforded players the chance to make the Frankie Horn dream-team touring Dubai in December.

THIS is the fourth year that Creston College rugby players were invited to enter the Vision Sport Mauritius 7s rugby tour in Mauritius. Coach Dawie Snyman accompanied them. It was a wonderful opportunity to play against international sides and afforded players the chance to make the Frankie Horn dream-team touring Dubai in December.

Gr 10 pupils Waheed Amanjee won gold, Michael Dalton and Nicholas Kalamoudacos took bronze and gr 8 pupil Stryda Perry, silver at the 37th Eskom Expo International Science Fair 2017.

Surfer Kira Attfield (gr 5) came fifth at the U12 semi-finals the SA Junior Championships in Jeffrey’s Bay. Her team won the ‘Skull Candy Spirit trophy’.

Emily Wyatt-Minter performed for US talent scout Kim Myers and judges from The Voice, USA, at the International Arts Talent Showcase in Johannesburg last Saturday.

She will attend a 2018 workshop in Orlando, Florida, to perform for US music producers and casting agents.

Scholarships for the New York Film Academy and record deals will be offered to successful musicians and actors.

All gr 7 pupils are invited to write the 2018 Creston gr 8 entrance tests every Friday during the fourth term from October 20 to December 1. Contact Lynne Harley at 039 6855562 for more information.
