An accident on the N2 freeway in Park Rynie on Tuesday last week has led to the arrest of five wanted suspects.
When Constable Rodney Shozi of the Scottburgh SAPS responded to an accident on the southbound carriageway, he found five people has been injured.
Once the injured had been taken to hospital, the vehicle was inspected and it was established that it had been reported stolen in Margate three days earlier.

Three of the car’s occupants, Hlengiwe Tracy Hlongwa (30), Ntokozo Ngidi (28) and Thulani Innocent Ngidi (25) appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrates’ Court and were remanded back into police custody until their next appearance.
They face charges of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and reckless and negligent driving.

The other two suspects, a 33-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, are still in hospital.
Port Shepstone Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU) detectives are investigating.
