JUST IN: Lucky escape for Paddock farmer after attack

The farmer was attacked by a man carrying a bush knife.

A PADDOCK farmer is recovering in hospital after being attacked on his farm yesterday (Thursday).

Paddock police, local farmers and security companies all responded to help the 65-year-old farmer, who was attacked at about 10.50pm last night.

“It is alleged that the farmer heard the dog bark and went outside to investigate. As he untied the dog, he was approached by a man carrying a bush knife. The man attacked the farmer,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
