Just In: Man in serious condition after Margate shooting

He was wounded in the right leg.

A Margate man (35) is in a serious condition after being shot.

According to Shawn Herbst spokesman for Netcare 911, the incident occurred in Post Office Lane at around 7.30 last night.

“The man was shot in twice in the right leg,” he added.

He was taken to hospital.

“Events leading up to the shooting are not clear at this stage,” said Mr Herbst.

Comment is awaited from police.
