JUST IN: Frantic search for woman reportedly abducted on N2 toll road

It is believed that a woman was abducted on the Umzimkhulu bridge earlier today.

POLICE and Lazer 911 security are searching for a white bakkie heading to Port Shepstone, Shelly Beach or Margate.

It is believed that a woman was abducted on the toll road near the Umzimkhulu bridge earlier this morning.

A passing  motorist  reported what appeared to be an abduction to Lazer 911, who called the police.

Information is still sketchy at the moment, but the motorist apparently reported seeing a woman being dragged to a vehicle by a man.

The vehicle police are searching for has cattle racks at the back. Anyone with any information can contact Lazer 911, Basil Lanka at 082 8222911.

Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said although no case had been opened, officers had been sent to the scene.
