Ayone with information on the missing umbrellas is asked to come forward.

A case has been opened at Margate police station after a couple didn’t return the four umbrellas they hired from the Bambi Ice-cream Shop on Margate beachfront on Saturday, January 20.

The man, who told the shop owner his name was ‘Chris’, and his female companion failed to return the umbrellas when the shop closed up for the day.

When the proprietors tried to call  ‘Chris’, it became apparent that the cell phone number he had provided was false.
