A 58-year-old Gandhinagar man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed several times during a robbery at his home yesterday.
“At about 11am, four suspects forced their way into the premises and accosted the man. who was alone at home,” said Scottburgh SAPS communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.
It appears that the man had been assaulted by the robbers who demanded money and repeatedly stabbed him before making off with valuables from the house.

A TV, clothing, laptop, DVD player, decoder, chairs, a music system and jewellery were taken from the house.
The Umzinto SAPS detectives arrested a 33-year-old who is believed to have been one of the robbers, and managed to recover some of the stolen property in bushes nearby.
“Working through the night, detectives arrested a second suspect in Amandawe in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, February 1,” said Captain Pandarum.

The other two robbers are still at large.
A case of house robbery has been opened at the Umzinto SAPS for investigation and is being investigated by Detective Sergeant Nomalen Pillay.
