Update: Woman arrested for Uvongo man’s murder granted bail

Bail was granted and the case was postponed to next month.

UPDATE

The 43-year-old woman who was arrested in Margate yesterday (Thursday) appeared briefly in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court today (Friday) on a charge of murder.

Natasha Heine appeared before Magistrate Elise Coetzer and was granted bail of R5 000.

The case was postponed to March 5.

POLICE have arrested a woman in connection with the murder of Hilton Heine (52) of Uvongo.

Mr Heine was shot dead in front of his wife in Uvongo on October 5 last year, according to police.

The 43-year-old woman was arrested in Margate yesterday (Thursday) by Detective Warrant Officer Michael Welsh and Detective Sergeant Michelle van Niekerk of the Margate SAPS Detective Service.

Police spokesman, Captain Vincent Pandarum said the woman is due to appear in the Ramsgate Magistrates’ Court today (Friday), on a charge of murder.
