Cooler weather brings out more bowlers at Sezela

THERE were no sponsored competitions at Sezela last week as Monday was the fifth one of the month. As usual Dave Geils arranged the very popular Paul Jones competition for club members, which was attended by 18 bowlers.

The women’s prize was won by Bryony D’Olivera with 4+16 and Jerry Davey took the men’s prize, being the only player to win all three games and collecting 6+20. Both winners won a bottle of wine for their efforts.

After a couple of weeks of rather poor turnouts for tabs-in days, probably due to the heat, I am pleased to report that this has been very much improved with attendance increased to between 20 and 30 during the week.

Our usual tabs-in on Wednesday, February 14 (St Valentine’s Day) will be changed to a Paul Jones format and players are requested to wear red and white, with hearts if you’ve got them, to celebrate the day of love. Hope to see you all making the effort.
