Two men, one of them a police constable from the Eastern Cape, were arrested in Marburg area, near Port Shepstone yesterday (Sunday).
At about 7pm, a private tracking company asked for assistance from Port Shepstone police.

Officers from the 10111 Call Center in Port Shepstone, accompanied by officers from the tracking company as well as those from a security company, stopped a maroon Toyota Verso which was carrying two occupants.
“It was established that the driver was a police constable from the Eastern Cape. It turned out that the vehicle had been stolen from Durban earlier this year, and that its number plates were false,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid. “The vehicle’s ignition had also been tampered with.”
Both men were arrested and will appear in court in Durban.
