This exciting career path gives students the opportunity to explore the wild, conduct ongoing research on the industry and contribute to South Africa’s nature conservation sector.

For a non-traditional career, leaders in accredited field guide and wildlife training programmes –Bushwise calls on all nature-loving folk to enlist in a training programme with a difference – that guarantees employment. The twelve/sixth-month course comprises four nationally accredited certifications.

What the training covers:

  • Field Guide Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) level 1 (NQF level 2)
  • First Aid Level 1 and 2
  • Sasseta Accredited Firearm Certificate
  • How to operate a four wheel drive in on and off-road conditions – Unit Standard 254135
